John Little

I am a Management Consultant, working on making Lonergan's thought accessible to managers and executives - through workshops, seminars, writing.  I have established a business, Lonergan Enterprises, to market the workshops and other consulting responses.

I have developed some management workshops in collaboration with Tom Daly SJ, a Lonergan scholar and philosopher.  He has brought expertise about Insight, I have brought extensive background in management education and workshop design.  We have produced and successfully run two workshops:

i) a two day workshop on the structure of knowing - called SMart Link - SM meaning Self Management and art standing for the art thereof.  We provide the science, the exec provides the art in the daily exercise of the science of knowing....

ii) a three day workshop on creativity - Finding Best Practice - which focuses on skills appropriate to the first two levels - experience and understanding;  and how the third and fourth levels of judging and deciding are used to achieve best practice in organisations.

iii) Other programs are in the pipe-line.

I am currently writing a book, tentatively to be called 'harvesting insights' which is about the Five Room model - descriptive of thinking, and written for managers.  The text draws on reflections from the life and experiences of a management consultant, facilitator, educator - and attempts to set out in manageable form the main structure of knowing and how it can be used as a foundational tool in management.
