The present members of the Australian Lonergan Workshop Committee are:

John Little -- Chairman, Peter Beer SJ -- Treasurer, Matthew Ogilvie -- Secretary, and John Heesh, Peter Burley, Tom Halloran, Bill Danaher, Stephen Corbishley, Peter Madden, Meredith Secomb, Elizabeth Snedden, and Tom Daly SJ -- Chairman emeritus.

The Committee was convened by Peter Beer in 1986 inviting several Lonergan scholars to meet at Canisius College (Pymble, Sydney) with a view of forming a committee. Peter Beer drew up constitutions that with a couple of emendations were voted upon and accepted. Since then, the Committee has met each year to review past workshops and plan for upcoming workshops.

Others have served on the Committee for a time, Dennis Chaston, Neil Ormerod, Frank Fletcher msc. The Committee has successfully arranged the Australian Lonergan Workshop every second year, and seen to publications. Bill Danaher has been Editor of some of the papers presented at the workshop, which are published by University Press of America.
